Use a nutrition & fitness app. Carb Manager is my favorite. All my other apps/devices/scale/tape measure immediately integrate and dumps my data here…. so… love your life and journey and get a super user-friendly app. Additionally, I can take any internet recipe URL, copy it in this app and within seconds it imports the recipe and ALL macros/nutritional facts (where you can then weight your portions and enter them into the app). It's RIDICULOUSLY easy. Just do it! I have the paid annual membership (worth it). So, WHEN your scale weight stalls and you need to know EXACTLY why and how to push the needle, this app + the items that integrate into it (below) will save you weeks (possibly months) of weight loss journey frustration. Funk That. Buy and use this cheap stuff, save your life, be skinny for Summer!! 🎊 No, I haven't used My Fitness Pal.
Tools (in no particular order; pick and choose what works for you or DO THEM ALL LIKE THE CHAMP YOU ARE!)
- Carb Manager App (no, you don't need to be doing any specific diet to get all the yummy benefits)
- Also, you can set in-app goals in fasting durations, macros, fitness & goal weight targets and the app outputs an EXACT DATE you'll hit your goal weight. Mine is 5/17/24!! Lets go summer!! 🥂🌴👙🔥
- FitBit Wearable
- My non-vacation avg daily steps is around 5300 (13k+ during vacation). I don't really focus on step count when home because I do 2hours of heart rate Zone 2 cardio, via in-home Peloton bike. No Days Off!
- Bike + a set of 3 pound weights and Peloton cycling shoes. During my 2 hours I do alternate day arm interval weight training with both 3 pound weights in one hand while cycling (every arm group, avg 85 reps each).
- Upgraded and installed a wider saddle (my bike seat) for my 🍑
- Use a high quality heart rate wearable to ensure perfect output metrics and that I stay in my Zone 2 the entire 2 hours. I also travel with this, the app is SICK!
- With the HR Wearable you can measure and keep your HR Zone 2 for ANY exercise you prefer (i.e. walking). FLEXIBILITY 🙋🏽♀️
- Here are the massive benefits of Zone 2 Cardio (i.e. life extension, and it being documented as the #1 fat burning zone). And if you aren't following Andrew Huberman….expect your life to be completely changed! 💯. Like COMPLETELY ✅️
- → **PRO TIP** - Don't waste 2 hours of your life working out/sitting on a bike. Multi-Task! I've attached this table to my bike to study, work, play way too much on social media 😆.

- I wear this Waist Trainer when working out. Very pleased with this. I event travel with it! I’m getting that Kardashian hourglass figure….that I hate…but its better than what I had, LOL.

- My One Meal A Day Warrior (Scarlett lost 80lbs in a year)!! Just Follow. No you won't die eating only 1 meal. I eat a tiny protein heavy snack to break my daily fast at 3p (3oz high quality freshly cut Whole Foods turkey slices and 3-4 baby dill pickles). Then I make a substantial dinner (usually Keto/Low Carb based; making my husband a side of brown rice or brown rice pasta to go with).
- And HERE is Scarlett's Facebook Support group. It's super informative, facts & science based, and quick responses to your buring fitness questions. Fun group that keeps you “inspired”.

- Test for Ketones
- I use these urine sticks every morning. I just need the data.
- Doesn't matter where you are in the range, same results. Just get and stay in it.
- Note: After you're fat adapted for awhile (like 3-6 weeks) your ketone will no longer register in urine, but you'll still be fat adapted (GOAL). Ketone are a byproduct, not the goal. It's just an output of reduce carbs. It's ok to not have ketone. BUT you need those ketone initially (part of the process.
- Here is my final fav Keto/Fast Guru. This guy is brilliant and actually convinced me to start the Keto diet in Fall 2022! He has a ton of quick videos on his YouTube channel explaining the benefits of fasting/Keto Diet. His Primal Living methodology & lifestyle is simple, logical, fact based, and historical. He even has Primal Living Low sugar Condiments for sale at Whole Foods (I use the Ketchup & BBQ sauce) 😋. For him, and most likely for me, Keto is a ongoing lifestyle. I've bought into that theory, because he talks frequently about “Metabolic FLEXIBILITY” (able to switch quickly between Ketosis and not and still get the same benefits), AKA “GOALS”! I need some pasta every now and then and not feel like I've ruined my week of exercise and clean dieting. So, I was SOLD on his Primal Living process.
- My LAST few crazy wild Pro Tips (stay with me on these one). History - I've clearly done a lot of research on life extension, living without degenerative diseases, reversing damage I've already done to the body, and living a long disease free and active life (even though I don't follow all the rules and for years fell hard off the wagon). Medical studies and clinical trials don't lie, ESPECIALLY, when the trails are repeated internationally by different groups & researchers. So, here goes (YES, I do all these daily now, since starting 2024 😬):

- I'm building up to a cold plunge. As of Apr'24, I take a super hot shower, then I rinse soap off with ice cold water & hard shower blast (around 2 mins). Face to toes. Then I turn off the water and stand in the shower for another 2 minutes to SHIVER (the benefit) before towel drying.
- In the 1st week of starting this, I felt super alert during the day. Really sharp mentally. After a few weeks, had reduced stress. After a month, had a better feeling of well being.
- Super interesting results. As a result, I'll keep it up in the shower, then try cold baths. 🤞🏽🤞🏽
